HTML5 with DAVID WEINBERGER and our First and Second HTML Creations

Dear Group,
How many people have headaches?
I certainly have a bit of eye strain, but I've just managed to transform my hypertext into two real life HTML documents.  Yay!

I think that the reading The Next Future of HTML by David Weinberger, seems to be a bit of 'fun' with embedded information.  The theme being that the 'updated version of HTML5 allows for wriggle room for imperfect humans' according to Weinberger.
This is just what we've experienced this afternoon, I think.  Today's tutorial did only allow for just a little bit of wriggle room with regards to writing up our hypertext.

Weinberger's statement that 'HTML5 favours the computer view' also certainly seems true, considering the fact that if we were only allowed to make very minor mistakes or the 'computer said no' (Yes, Little Britain fans)

I've bookmarked the link at the top of the reading called Draft of HTML5 and making it easy for us all to find at www.whatwg.org/specs/web-apps/current-work/multipage   - sorry I couldn't hyperlink it yet.

See you all next week, or Thursday.
Susanne

  1. Hi Susanne, congratulations one two successful HTML documents! Yes, I had a headache and eye strain too (don't forget to look up from the screen every minute to rest your eyes my mum tells me).

I'm glad that we get at least a little wiggle room. Using a program that alerts me if I've made a spelling error or left a tag open is certainly desirable. (For example, I've discovered that when writing HTML on Blogger, we're alerted when a tag is still open).

  3. Hi Susanne

Great job, for your two HTML documents. I agree with you typing these codes caused eye strain, but ultimately when you see the results certainly you will forget fatigue.

    Keep going
