Well Hello to our amazing Group :)
I've dabbled with EndNote
before and never really been able to master using it, so it has been
easier for me to pretend that I don't actually need it. Silly me!
I'm
determined to develop my skills in the use of EndNote so that it's an
efficient tool for my successful studies and my career as an Information
Manager.
When
we had our tutorial on EndNote a couple of weeks ago, I was able to
download the EndNote programme onto my Mac and then, with Huan and my
group members' help, I set up the Harvard biblio style into it and then
also attached it to word docs and retrieved resources from the R.M.I.T.
online Library.
I've
booked myself into the R.M.I.T. Library for a session tomorrow which is
called 'EndNote for Beginners (Mac)' and I hope to really have control
over the operation of this programme.
After
speaking with Huan last week, I can now see the very useful facets of
EndNote and he has clarified my confusion about how to control my list
of references that I put into EndNote. Now that I know that I can
create task-specific folders to place my references and information
sources into, I'm not as concerned about developing a large
uncontrollable list of references as I continue my studies.
I'm going to share any useful
information and/or tricks that I learn at the training session and I
hope that this will be of use to everyone, especially those special
people in our group.
Cheers,
Susanne
Hi Susanne! looks like you have been doing some good work with EndNote and it is great that you have booked yourself into an Beginners EndNote session!
ReplyDeleteHi Lisette,
ReplyDeleteThe session was great, but I need to do another one :(
Cheers,
Susanne
Hi Susanne!
ReplyDeleteIt is great you work on yourself to improve your skills, as you know this is very important for your future or current career.
I looking forward for your next post
Hi Nouf, It's just important to push yourself I think. Teachers do it all the time, so maybe I'm doing it now? I feel challenged by EndNote and feel like I need to conquer it, so that's what I'm doing :)
DeleteConquer away Susanne
ReplyDeleteYou have inspired me to do a class too. But I need to wait until 21 May- because of the MAC!
Cheers Luisa
